Mr. Premadasa specializes in teaching drums (Jazz Drums, Congo and Bongo). He himself began learning to play the drums when he was just 5 years old. His musical education is a balance of both a private tutor and self-teaching by reading many books and countless hours of practice.

He also served in the police western band for a solid 20 years. At present he is retired and dedicates his time to teaching full time. His teaching career is a period of 30 years and he has been with Amarillo for the past 6 years. Mr. Premadasa has recorded with big names in the musical industry such as Clarence Wijewardene, Master Kemadasa and Shelton Premarathne.
