Ms. Amanda Rajapaksha’s journey in music is intertwined with her career in interior design, reflecting her deep-rooted passion for both artistic pursuits. She began her musical journey at the age of 8 with piano lessons and later expanded her talents to include voice training under the guidance of Mrs. S.R. Talwatte. Her exceptional abilities were quickly recognized, leading to her debut piano performance at the Sri Lanka Festival of Music, Dance, and Speech at just 9 years old. Since then, she has consistently excelled, earning gold medals and becoming an All-Island finalist/winner at numerous festivals.

Ms. Rajapaksha’s dedication to music continued with notable achievements, including multiple prizes at London College of Music examinations for piano and high distinctions in ABRSM and Trinity College grades for both piano and voice. After earning her Associate of Trinity College London for piano performance, she returned to teaching music, inspired by the encouragement of friends and family.

Since joining Amarillo in 2023, Ms. Rajapaksha has provided personalized instruction to students of all ages and skill levels. Currently preparing for her Licentiate in piano performance, she aims to reintroduce herself to the public platform with a new repertoire in the near future. Alongside her music endeavors, she works full-time as a contractual interior designer, showcasing her versatility and dedication across both artistic fields.
